Study Rooms Services Policy

Rules of use

1. Booking study rooms services from the library website: https://catalog.aue.ae/booking.
2. The rooms accommodate one to four (4) students maximum.
3. Room booking is limited to one hour for undergraduate and master’s students, and two hours per day for Doctoral students, with the option to extend by one additional hour only. No extra extension or renewal is allowed for anyone who has already used any study room.
4. The room booking is for the day of use only. There is no prior reservation for rooms.
5. The university ID must be entered in the booking field on the library website to reserve a room.
6. Bookings must be confirmed via email and verified at the library counter with a student ID.
7. Students must not leave personal belongings in study rooms to hold a reservation; any unattended items will be removed by security, and the booking will be cancelled.
8. Study rooms are used for studying only, not for talking or entertainment.
9. Rooms must be kept clean and waste-free.

The reservation will be automatically cancelled, and the rooms will be vacated in the following cases:

1. If students are late for their reservation by 5 minutes, their reservation will be cancelled, and they will be notified.
2. If students bring or eat food inside the room.
3. If the rooms are used for games, or students talk inside the rooms in an inappropriate and annoying manner.
4. Smoking in the rooms.
